Celebrating classics and minimalism

 

Today marks the drop of YUN’s latest collection HANA and the opening of a two-day Hien Le pop-up shop. We invite you to come by for a first peak at the new glasses and the first result of a collaboration that needs no explanation.

 

The new Fall / Winter collection goes by the onomatopoeic name 하나 – HANA, a Korean expression translating to ‘one in all’.

 

“Our aim was to create the perfect premium-product for every day, and we had high demands for this product: light and functional but with a superb aesthetic and quality. We simply pursue perfection in functionality and aesthetics” says Jiyoon Yun, founder of YUN Berlin.

 

HANA embodies minimalism and diversity – high-end quality meets timeless design. The collection has three unisex models, JAN, WILLY and NIKLAS; each represent the minimal yet avant-garde style that is so typical for YUN. All styles are made from fine but resilient titanium and are extraordinarily lightweight, allergy-free and non-corrosive. The frames come in Black, Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold, and can be combined with dozens of glass variations. So it’s definitely worth dropping in to check out the new models!

 

For the first time, YUN worked with Berlin based designer Hien Le, whose Fall Winter collection is also about essentials, offering classic, bold staples in elegant color combinations; clean basics that are executed in natural, cozy fabrics. Besides concentrating on discreet cuts and the subtle application of details, Hien Le consequently maintains his claim to manufacture clothing that combine diligent design with accurate workmanship. His timeless designs transcend both age and seasons with a signature sense of laid back luxury. Hien Le believes in simplicity, consistency and building a uniform with the pieces you can wear again and again, season after season.

 

To set the new collection in scene YUN combined the minimal frames with styles from Hien Le’s recent Fall Winter collection – garments that not only are convincing with their excellent fabrics, but subtle cuts and soft nuances. The joint campaign shoot mirrors the minimal aesthetic of YUN, it embodies modern Asian aesthetics and Berlin composure, and marked only the beginning of this wonderful collaboration. We are excited to see what comes next.
