Co-founder CJ, had been working in the optical industry for 28 years designing and customising unique lenses for businesses before retail component YUN was realised. This heritage in the industry means the design and manufacturing process is accurate and carried out with maximum proficiency and skill.

We think that less is more at YUN, which is why all of our lenses are designed and manufactured in house by our team in Incheon at Opticom. Without a complex or faraway supply chain, we can oversee the processes and work closely to maintain a high level of quality- all while keeping our independent spirit.

Our lenses


After all, the lenses are the most important part of your glasses- without them, your vision won’t be as crisp and sharp as it should be.

Many of our Opticom employees have been working with us from 2000 when the company was established, so they really know their stuff! We make it so the lenses are highly customisable and finished using technology that enables beautifully wide vision.

Our optimal production system offers solutions to individual customers needs- however unique they might be. We make every effort to provide people with better vision for a better quality of life.

Thin lenses

People often try to avoid thick lenses, but with thinner lenses, you can get more vision distortion. To remedy this, we developed our own lens thickness calculation system which automatically recommends us the right index the wearer needs for their prescription, taking into account both aesthetics and vision correction.

Plus, we keep a very versatile collection of different prescriptions in store, including very high prescriptions, so most people can experience the convenience of the 20 minute service.




All of our lenses have

Anti reflection, Anti glare, Anti water repellent, Anti dust, Anti scratch, 100% UV protection

All of these coats are applied with no extra charge, while other brands might ask you to pay an additional price for these options.

Our frames

Designed in house by former fashion designer, now YUN director, Jiyoon, our frames keep the special balance between stylish and timelessness.

All the designs at YUN draw inspiration from unique experiences and are influenced by Jiyoon’s international lifestyle and perspective.

When I choose colours for the frames, I think about the silhouette and tiny details. I’m always aware of keeping a balance in my designs, by not making one element dominate, making the design timeless and minimal. While some of our designs are a little more ‘avant-garde’ like our Hot Summer collections, I always strive to maintain the equilibrium between bold and classic, simple and stylish.

We collaborate with talented partners to create exclusive, one off frames that you’ll want to treasure forever. For example, we collaborated with designer Hien Le on some very special frames.

All of our frames are allergy-free and made from high quality acetate, titanium or stainless steel. Fixed with special OBE screws, the frames are highly resistant to loosening.
