What do I need to order?

You need to have a valid prescription for eyeglasses (contact lenses have a different prescription.) including the pupillary distance (PD). You can also come to our shop and our opticians will measure everything for you. It‘s free of charge.




How can I change my order?

Usually we are fast with processing order. But if you want to change something, we will do our best to execute any changes. Please call our hotline: +49 30 275 778 20 to transmit the changes as fast as possible (Mo – Sa 11:00 – 20:00).




How do I find information about my order status?

If you want to know the status of your order, simply log-in and click your account. On the menu click "orders" to see the status and detailed information on all the orders you have placed.




How do I order multiple pairs of glasses with different prescriptions?

To order two or more glasses with different prescriptions, you need to type different prescriptions for each glasses. If you had purchased prescription glasses before at our shop, you can easily retrieve your previous prescription from the order history. If you want to order prescription glasses for someone else, it's better to create a new account, so you can manage each person’s data and eye health individually.

I have a prescription.

We will gladly accept prescriptions that are not older than 2 years. We're unable to use expired eyeglasses prescription and prescriptions for contact lenses. If your prescription is expired, more than 2 years, or for contact lenses, please visit our shop to get a new prescription.




I need a prescription. How do I get one?

We offer eye tests in store with trained, friendly opticians. When you buy a pair of YUN frames, the price of the eye test is deducted from your purchase. If you decide not to purchase glasses with us, the price will be €20. Book in store or online.




My prescription does not include the pupillary distance (PD).

The PD is the distance between your pupils and is necessary in order to center your prescription correctly. You can do it yourself by downloading our PDF manual on how to measure your PD. Also most local opticians will measure your PD for free or a small fee




I have a prescription for contact lenses. Can I use it for eye glasses?

Unfortunately no. The prescription for contact lenses is different than the prescription for eyeglasses. You will need to make a dedicated eye test for glasses.




I have astigmatism.

No problem. In fact, most people do. We provide most appropriate prescription glasses regardless of prescription including high astigmatism. You will also get aesthetically and optically optimized thin lenses without extra charge. We recommend to have an eyetest performed by our Meister at our store if you have astigmatism over 3.00D.




I need prism lenses.

Prism prescription has to be very precise so we only provide prism prescription at our store in Berlin after the examination from our qualified Meister and optician. Please send us an email at [email protected] or call at +49 30 275 778 20 (Mo - Sa, 11:00 - 20:00) to book an eye exam for the prism prescription.




Do you offer reading glasses?

Yes we do. If you already know your prescription for reading glasses, you can easily type it in the checkout page after select "single vision" when you add your frames to the cart. Do you offer multifocal/progressive glasses?

We do but only at our store in Berlin. A design of multifocal/progressive lenses depends on pantoscopic angle, faceform angle, frame PD, wearer's prescription and lifestyle. To make an accurate design we only offer multifocal/progressive glasses after the examination from our qualified Meister and optician. Additional €100 will be charged.




My Prescription does not include cylinder (CYL) and axis (AXS).

No need to worry. If there is a blank, it means you don‘t have astigmatism and don‘t need glasses with these parameters.

How do I find the correct size?

Underneath every model, the frame measurements are listed, consisting of three numbers. You can use these to compare them to your current glasses.

How to fit my frame?

You can visit our store for free fitting. Also most opticians will fit your frames for free or a small fee. If you would like to fit your glasses yourself, here is some advise:

  • Pupils should be centered
  • Eyebrows should not be within the frame
  • Frames should sit safely on your nose



How often do you update your collection?

We release new collection every 4 months, 3 times a year. And there might be capsule collections in between. If you want to stay tuned on new frames, sign up for the newsletter.

What is the best way to care my glasses?

  • Put your glasses in the case if you are not wearing them.
  • Put the glasses facing up if you are putting them down on the table.
  • If the screws are loose or you are having issues with the nose pads, please stop by our store in Berlin to replace them at no charge.
  • If glasses are not fitting properly, please stop by our store in Berlin to adjust your frame at no charge.






What lenses do you use?

At YUN you will always get the best quality for the lowest price. We exclusively offer aspherical lenses made of Polyurethane, which makes them extra thin. Our lenses are premium high refractive indexes between 1.60 up to 1.74 Polyurethane from Japan, up to 48% thinner than normal lenses and less chromatic abberation.

What coating treatment do you apply on the lenses?

All lenses including prescription, sun lenses and sun prescription lenses are specially treated in our lens lab in Korea.

Anti-reflection

To perceive natural color and shape, it is important to transmit luminous light. YUN lenses with aniti-reflection coating transmit almost 99% of luminous light without distorting color perception and subsequently minimize the reflectance that irritates our eyes.

anti-scratch

YUN anti-scratch multi-layer coating consists of shock absorption primer coating layer, scratch resistant thick hard coating layer, nono-particle layers including glass-like-silicon dioxide.

Contamination-resistance

Super-hydrophobic material top coat and conductive nono material deposited by high vacuum thin film deposition technology minimizes the contact area of any contaminating material, like water, oil, fingerprints. So all extraordinary material can’t stick firmly to the lens. This makes you easy to clean lenses perfectly.

UV protection

We use our own unique technology, so-called "ZeroUV", protecting your eyes even from UV light comes from your back. Almost half of incident light comes from your side or back which can damage your cornea and retina. ZeroUV blocks UV light almost 100% by offsetting the back reflection. ZeroUV technology is applied on all sunglasses lenses including prescription sun lenses.



I want thinner lenses

Once we get your data, our system start calculating the thickness of each different index lenses and recommend you the best lenses considering your aesthetics and the optically best solution. You will automatically get the thinnest lenses, optimally calculated just for you, without additional costs.It's not desirable to have thinner lenses than what we recommend because the higher index you have the higher chromatic aberration. But if you prioritize your apperance, we can upgrade the index of your lenses with additional KRW 60,000/EUR 50.

What is the best way to clean my lenses?

  • Please clean your glasses everyday with microfiber cloth you got from us.
  • Use lukewarm water combined with a splash of dishwashing soap to clean glasses which are heavily soiled.
  • Please visit us regularly to learn your glasses in our ultrasonic bath.
  • Please avoid any chemical solutions containing spiritus, acetone, gasoline or similar solvents.

Where do you ship.

We ship worldwide except the United States. Shipping is not available for orders with delivery address within the United States at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience.







What is your return policy?

All returns must be authorized by us before sending merchandise back. Simply call us or send email to us to request a return authorization within 30 days of the order's delivery date.

Returns will not be accepted if there is damage on the products. Merchandise showing any sign of use will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer. The merchandise must not be worn. Merchandise must be returned in its original condition. Merchandise returned damaged may be rejected and sent back to the customer at the discretion of YUN.

A refund will be issued back to the original method of payment for the merchandise returned. Financial institutions may require additional days to process the refund before the funds are returned to the account.

Additionally, returns must be shipped with a service that provides a tracking number and insurance as we are not responsible for delayed or lost packages. Except for when there is a product defect, we don’t refund the shipping costs.




How do I get a lens replacement?

If it is hard for you to adjust to a new pair of glasses which we measured your prescription even after 3 weeks, we will measure your eyes again and replace lenses for free. Please let us know within 1 month of your delivery date.

If your prescription has changed, we can replace your lenses for a fee, based on your prescription and the lenses you have selected. I am not happy with the fit of my frame.

If your new frame is not fitting perfectly, get in touch with us. We want you to love your new glasses and a comfortable fit is a must. If you are near our shop, just drop by and get your frame adjusted. Also most local opticians will fit your frame for free or a small fee.

I am not happy with the fit of my frame.

If your new frame is not fitting perfectly, get in touch with us. We want you to love your new glasses and a comfortable fit is a must. If you are near our shop, just drop by and get your frame adjusted. Also most local opticians will fit your frame for free or a small fee.
