An insight into YUN’s unique collaboration
For the launch of their newest campaign, we teamed up with designer, Hien Le, to create a very special fall/winter collection- the HANA collection.
The Korean expression 하나 – (HANA) translates to ‘one’ and means ‘getting all opinions in one hand’; YUN have spent more than a year perfecting the aesthetics of the glasses and were determined not to miss a single detail- not one. In short, the collection focuses on simplicity; on light, functional, safe but premium design. We wanted to keep things classic and that’s exactly what we’ve done.
After recognising many similarities between the style and overall design of Hien Le’s work, we decided to approach him for a collaboration. Though we appreciated his minimalistic style, it was Hien’s idea of thinking we really loved; his email signature writes, “please consider the environment before printing this email.” Like Hien, YUN believes in striving to be a conscious and considerate brand, so we though it was the perfect match!
Hien was equally pleased to work alongside YUN and described the concept behind the newest collaboration as a “connection of the two brands synergies.” The campaign keeps its YUN aesthetics but combines a Hien Le twist, which resulted in a beautiful shoot and overall campaign…if we do say so ourselves.
